Come for a walkie with me Doggie Buddies!

These are seagrapes.
Seagrapes grow into really big bushes and you find a lot near the ocean cuz they can take the salt air.
This is a weed that grows into a bush with these pretty red fluffy flowers.
This is a swamp cabbage or palmetto palm. They are low growing and you can get palmetto hearts from them which are good sliced up in salads.
This is the creek behind my house. This is the rainy season so it has water in it now. You can't see the water though cuz of the vine that grows on the banks!
A yellow butterfly the same exact color as this flower lands on these all the time and you can't even tell they are there.
Allamandas are a vine that grows into a bush and they always are in bloom.
We have allamandas growing over our fence on the side yard.
This is a bird of paradise. They are hard to get started, but once they are established they are so pretty.
This is beaugonvilla which has pretty flowers but lots of thorns! They flower all year, too.
They grow into real big bushes and climb on stuff.
This is the entryway to my magic courtyard.
I hope you enjoyed this walkie around my yard with me!

19 Doggie Nosies:
My mom loves bougenvillia's. She passes one on the way to her mom's home that has one where the leaves are verigated and she says it's super pretty.
How's beta blogger working for you Buster?
I love it Boomer! We just switched and it is so easy to use!
Have been having a problem with pics tho - had it before changing too which is why we changed now - have to upload one at a time.

I love your backyard!! Can I move there with you?? We are losing our leaves and it will be snowing here in a couple of months. Florida looks like more fun!! :)
Hi Buster,
Woh your yard is great. I wish we have such nice view over here.

Ha rooo! What a beautiful yard, Buster! And the plants look delicious. I love eating foliage. I just can't help myself. I might have to be careful with those thorny ones, though!
Play bows, Zim
Hey Buster,
Thanks for the garden dog tour. Very nice plants & flowers. Mama just loves the bird of paradise plants. She started one from seed years ago and it got 12 ft. tall and about 8 ft. wide so she had to get rid of it. It was just way too huge for the sunroom. She had it for about 5 years and it still did not bloom though. Our leaves are falling off of the trees here in Iowa and not too many flowers left blooming, only a few hardy water lilies & mumms.
Wirey Hugs!

Hey Buster! I went foliage-related on our blog today, too! I linked to you - hope you don't mind! Check it out!
Play bows, pal!

Great yard, Buster!
I also love the look of your blog. We don't have beta as an option yet. I'm not sure what I'll think of it. I do a lot with html codes.
Lovely yard... I am a bit yardless right now, so I particularly enjoyed the tour of exotic plants (exotic for me anyway, since Florida has not been graced by my presence yet). Very nice!
Laters,
Sid
Wow Bussie, do you mean you leave your mama's plants alone?? You don't dig them up or anything?? Mum says maybe she should send me over to be trained by your mama!!
Hey, I still haven't received your PM for the X-mas Card Exchange. Did you change your mind because it's not X-mas Kookie exchange?
ps. Thanks so much for nominating and voting for me!!
Love nibbles,
Miss Sunshade

Wow, what a backyard!! We have just moved to a new house with a huge yard, but at the moment it's just a lot of weed... It's soon winter time in Norway so I guess I'll have to wait til next year to get a nice backyard...
To be honest; I don't care if it's flowers or not.. Don't tell my foks...!
Take care,
Günter
Wow, you are really into plants. You and my papa would have lots to talk about since he is the master gardener around me.
I just christen the plants and flowers every now and then.
Hey, At least I contribute.

Hey there Buster,
sorry I haven't been sniffin' around your smelly blogplace, for some strange reason it wasn't in my list of blogs being read by RSS Reader. I should sack the secretary (rolls eyes).
So this comment is long, apologies in advance!
Anyway what a grfeat back yard you have, buddy. Looks like there's lots of exciting stuff to sniff and all. And you're near the beach so you have the best of both worlds. Excellent.
I was also really cranky when I read about your experience with the goldies on the beach. Even though I'm a big lad myself, my ma is always worrying when I approach other dogs in case (i) I scare them or (ii) I get more than I bargained for.
At the end of the day dog owners are responsible and should behave responsibly, and those goldie owners sounds like they were too caught up in the "let's play goldie camp on the beach because we look great together yahoo" to give proper consideration to other dogs/owners.
In a word: selfish.
In answer to your question in my smelly blogplace: yep I'm wearing a halti, and have for years (when we go out, that is).
My ma swears by it.
When I was younger and going to puppy school and walks etc I was nearly yanking the arms out of her socket when I had the choker chain or a harness. She tried lots of things, but I'm a strong sturdy and eager lad, always keen and pulling.
With the halti, however, she has no trouble controlling me - even with one finger on the lead! And it doesn't hurt me at all. One vet told her that if owners could see the damage they were doing to their pets' necks with the choker chains, they'd be horrified.
Actually she just bought me a new halti, that black one in the pic was a few years old - my new one is a cool blue, and seems to be even better and more comfortable than the old one. And I have a matching blue lead and a blue collar with reflective dogs on it. Absolute model material, I tell ya. I'll post some pix sometime soon!
Anyway Bussiedude, keep up the terriorist antics and bussie kisses.
Chow for now,
Tin Tin xo
I like your magic courtyard. Thanks for taking me on a tour. One question. Are the seagrapes for eating?
wow buster! wut a lot of flowers you haf out there! i bet it is a treat for your nose wenever you go for walkies. thanks for taking us along. i just wish i cud smell the flowers through the skreen!
Buster... I don't know what it is, but you always seem to say the right thing and know exactly what to do. Sid has the right idea about the religion-afterlife thang for dogs, but I've been tossing the concept of doggie politics around for some time now. Don't you think it's high time we get involved? Well.. at any rate, I nominate you for president. You're that 'walk softly, carry a big stick' kinda guy we need with an honest true blue heart, and you seem to get along with everyone. I mean EVERYONE. Oh, Buster? Sure...I know Bussie. I tell you...it's in the bag! Think about it.
Nuzzles,
Lulu
